Pasifika Students in Health New Zealand
(PaSHNZ – pronounced passions)

An independent organization consisting of Pacific Islands’ students who are studying health related courses around New Zealand and have a passion for improving Pacific health outcomes.

Our Mission

Is to create the first ever Pacific health conference specifically targeting our future Pacific health workforce. From Friday the 9th to Sunday the 11th of September, the city of Christchurch, will play host to Pacific delegates from around New Zealand for an array of academic and social events. These will act as a platform for identifying problems and creating solutions to key issues surrounding Pacific health in New Zealand.

Ultimately, this conference is the start of change. We envision that it will become an annual national forum that allows our future Pacific health workforce to be engaged, inspired and motivated. This will help them to succeed in their undergraduate studies, integrate smoothly into the current Pacific health workforce and have the drive to bridge the gap of inequality currently faced by our Pacific people in New Zealand.
